Description	This image is a watercolor conceptual painting of formal gardens entitled "Lante" done by J.H. Abercrombie sometime between 1917 and 1942. The painting shows a top view of the gardens with their plant beds, grasses, paths bordered by trees or shrubs, steps, and fountains surrounded by trees and a network of longer paths. The painting is set within framing art of trees, a fountain, a railing, and a stone vase with a plant. In the upper left corner are two labels which read: "School of Architecture, Architectural Renderings, RG 457, Original Number 94, 'Lante,' J.H. Abercrombie" and "94." In the lower right corner there is an Alabama Polytechnic Institute School of Architecture stamp with the handwritten inscription "2nd Medal" in red and a silver star. The painting is in fair condition but missing the upper left corner and the bottom left edge and is encapsulated.
