From page 112: This "A-Day" handshake symbolized a change of leadership at API in March 1928. Leaving to become the president of Mercer University was Spright Dowell (right), Auburn president since 1920. Arriving was Bradford Knapp, Oklahoma A&M president, who succeeded Dowell at the Auburn helm until 1932. Alumni and faculty members in the background were, left to right: Captain B.
