Description	Born near Opelika, Alabama; served in Confederate army, 1862-1865; and returned to Opelika area to farm after the war's end. Diaries and daybooks (22 v.) with accounts of weather, family activities, and daily farm operations. Also includes account books, invoices, receipts, tax receipts, notes of a lecture given to the Mt. Jefferson Agriculture Club (5 August 1887), and copies of Green's Diary (1882-1883) and The Confederate Veteran (March 1918).
