CHORUS: "My forest flower My red skin rose Each day and hour Love fonder grows In my heart's bower There's a spot so true My forest flower I love but you." VERSE 2: In an Indian camp Very cold and damp Waits a copper colored squaw, And as night draws night She is heard to sigh Blessings for her love at war; Suddenly she hears him nearing And a voice rings through the clearing "For you I've slaved Each arrow braved And Big Chief's life I've saved!"
