Description	Eddie Rickenbacker at a meeting of the Bohemian Club in September of 1942 in San Francisco, California. Rickenbacker was lost at sea for twenty-four days after the B-17 he was on went down in the Pacific in October, 1942. This photograph was used with a news story while he was missing in the Pacific. News story on verso reads, "Recent Photograph of Missing Ace -- San Francisco, California........This excellent photographic study of Captain Eddie Rickenbacker was made when he visited San Francisco in September of this year, and addressed a meeting of the Bohemian Club. Note the "thumbs up" sign. The Captain, our greatest ace in World War I, is missing somewhere in the pacific. 10-24-42."
