Caption on verso reads, "Wilmington, Del. now served by Eastern Air Lines planes -- When Capt. Eddie Rickenbacker (second from left), President and General Manager of Eastern Air Lines, arrived in Wilmington, Del. aboard one of his Company's Silverliners last week (April 27th) to inaugurate regularly scheduled passenger, mail and cargo service there, he was interviewed by (left to right) a local radio announcer and welcomed by Gov. Walter W. Bacon, of the state of Delaware; Mayor Joseph S. Wilson of Wilmington; and James A. LeFevre, President of the local city council. Eastern Air Lines is serving Wilmington with three northbound flights and three southbound flights daily, operating DC-3's Silverliners."
