Document Description
This is the only known interior photograph of the Dallas County Court House at Cahawba (ca . 1830s - 1866) . This building stood on the southeast corner of Vine Street and 1st Street North . The date of the photograph is unknown , but it was probably taken in the late 19th or early 20th century , after the building had been used as a grist mill .
