[page 1] St. Augustine, Fla Nov. 29th 1863 Dear Father & Mother: The only letter I have received from you since my return to the seat of war, came by the “Arago” Nov. 20th Indeed it is the only letter I have had from N.H., altho I have written many, I have sent you a box of excelent fruit, to be expressed in N.Y. for N.H. Hope you have it. My health is splended. Thank God. Have a great deal to do – am now in command of the company, I need much grace, grace, grace, cannot write more now. Yours in love, A.F.S.
